The Children's Rights Society, Inc. (CRS) is a not-for-profit corporation that is funded by the State of New York to provide legal services for children in Orange County. The main office is located in Goshen, New York and a satellite office is located in Newburgh for scheduled appointments only. Since 1996 we have been appointed by the Family Court to represent children age 0-17 in the following types of proceedings:
Our mission is to secure justice for and to protect the rights of the children we represent. We advocate for the needs of each child individually based upon their wishes and best interests. There is never a charge for our service, however, we may only represent a child when we are appointed by the court. Our dedicated staff consists of seven attorneys, two social workers, a paralegal investigator, an office manager and two administrative assistants. |
